David is an economist, management consultant, business owner and former senior public servant who now proudly calls Port Hope home.
Across more than four decades, he advised senior leaders on public policy, finance, budgeting, risk and major investment decisions. As Chief Data Scientist at Transport Canada, David built and led high-performing analytical teams focused on evidence-based solutions.
His decision to run began with research into the proposed Wesleyville nuclear power plant. It reinforced his belief that Port Hope needs independent leadership grounded in facts, transparency and careful long-term planning.
David studied environmental and natural resource economics at the doctoral level and holds an MBA and a Master of Economics. Away from policy and budgets, he sings with the Ganaraska Chorus and can often be found walking his bordoodle, Biggi, and chatting with neighbours.
